Silver

Twenty five years ago today K and I were married.

This is my favourite photo of the day a snap shot taken by my Mum's friend.

We look soooooo young.

Memories of the day:-

I walked down the aisle with my bouquet upside down.

I walked up the path to the church and my suspender twanged which I announced loudly to my Dad and it was captured on video.

My Dad made all the wine for the evening 'doo' K's Aunty got very drunk and had to be taken home.

A fabulous family day.

Wonderful memories.

A few gifts for me from K - we don't generally 'do' anniversaries.

Betty bought a cake and decorated it for us - I bought the tea cups as a joke pressie for us to have a celebration cup of tea.

I bought K a piece of glass by charlottesaleglass.com at Origins in London a few weeks ago.  K was delighted as he admired her work when she was on telly and he had visited Liberty to see her work when it was showcased there.  It's now on the 'cornish' and has pride of place next to his beloved Batman picture and bakerlite scary bird.

Well I am going to go now tea to cook.  Life in the fast lane.

Happy Anniversary!
We both have exactly the same 'wedding' hairstyle.... absolutely identical! Lovely post with all the little things that happen on a wedding day to make it one to remember.
Fabulous piece of glass, and that is one yummy looking cake.... enjoy :) xx

happy anniversary to you both! It's amazing how fast it all goes isn't it? we're fast approaching 20 years - which I'm starting to think might be an excuse for a celebratory trip away!

Happy Anniversary,

I remember the wedding day well, did I wear the wrong dress, I'm sure it was meant for the slimmer bridesmaid.

I remember you doing a Michelle Fowler (as a joke - the week you got married was the same week that Michelle Fowler jilted Lofty in Eastenders), we were in the Church, but the inside door hadn't been opened, we laughed a lot, I'm sure everyone in Church must have wondered what was going on.

I also remember Pete W with his kisses and hand shakes at the wedding reception.

I remember crying A LOT the following day, my big sister leaving home, to live a whole sixty miles away, felt like the end of the world :-(
